This viewpoint illustrates a MyHealth@EU scenario where a citizen from Country A presents credentials from a Digital Identity Wallet to a healthcare provider in Country B. The credentials are verified and the Country B's national health services initiate a secure cross-border request to Country A to retrieve the citizen's health information from National health data sources .
End-to-end encryption is supported within the MyHealth@EU infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit between NCP nodes using TLS with mutual authentication. The MyHealth@EU infrastructure provides E2E encryption .
End-to-end encryption is not inherently supported in the EUDI Wallet-based approach. Encryption is handled at the credential and transport layer (mDoc / ISO 18013-5 ). Data confidentiality relies on the EUDI Wallet credential format and selective disclosure rather than platform-level E2E encryption.
