An application component that verifies the authenticity, validity, and integrity of health credentials presented from a patient's EUDI Wallet. It validates the cryptographic signature against the issuer's public key (retrieved from the Issuer Trust Registry), checks the credential's validity period, verifies the credential schema conformance, and confirms that the issuer is registered in the applicable national trust registry. It is a key component of the verifier-side trust chain.
