National Contact Points operate within a defined circle of trust in which only NCPs are authorised to establish and maintain mutual trust relationships. Cross-border health data exchange relies exclusively on these direct trust relationships. Trust relationships are based on previously stablished mutual authentication mechanisms and validated trust anchors.
